The parade, featuring the arrival of Santa Claus, traveled 6.5 miles through Plano, ending at the Plano Depot on Main Street.
Book Club will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20, to discuss “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig.
Students packed a truckload full of the donated items and brought them to the Kendall County Community Food Pantry and the micro-pantry located at the First Lutheran Church in Plano.

Eight members decorated their bikes with Halloween decor and handed out candy to children.

The Plano Rockin' Christmas Parade and community celebration was held on Fiday, Dec. 1, 2023.
A Card Making Class is planned from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19. Jennifer Boring will teach you how to make five handmade cards. All supplies provided, including envelopes.
Tickets are $7 for students, seniors and military personnel and $9 for adults. Children 5 and younger are admitted free.
The parade route will travel to Ben Street to Rock Street to Hale Street, head out to Lakewood Springs South, Lakewood Springs North, down Main Street to downtown Plano. Parade will disperse at Main and West streets.
Line up is 5:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Plano High School, 704 W. Abe St. The parade steps off at 6:30 p.m.
Ten veterans and their families participated in the luncheon.
